The AI prompt cheat sheet

Ten copy-paste prompts that cover the work most professionals repeat every week: meetings, email, writing, research and planning. Free, no account required — take it and use it today.

01

Decision ledger from meeting notes

After any meeting with more than three people.

From the notes below, produce: DECISIONS (quote the supporting line), OPEN QUESTIONS (and who resolves them), ACTIONS (owner, action, due date), RISKS. Never invent an owner or date — mark unknowns [UNASSIGNED]. Output compact markdown tables.

02

Three-pass inbox triage

First thing, once a day.

Classify each email below into REPLY-ME, REPLY-DRAFT, DELEGATE, ARCHIVE. For every REPLY-DRAFT write a 60-word reply in my voice: direct, warm, no filler. Return a table with sender, category, one-line rationale and the draft.

03

One-page decision brief

Any document longer than ten pages.

Return: DECISION REQUIRED (one sentence), SUPPORTING FACTS (3, each with a number and reference), STRONGEST COUNTER-ARGUMENT (one paragraph), RECOMMENDATION (one sentence plus first action), WHAT WOULD MAKE THIS WRONG (2 conditions). Max 200 words, no adjectives.

04

Proposal pre-mortem

Before anything important leaves your outbox.

Act as three reviewers of this document: the CFO, a sceptical head of ops, and procurement. For each, list their top 3 objections, the underlying concern, and the strongest one-paragraph rebuttal.

05

Voice profile extractor

Once — then reuse in every writing prompt.

Analyse my writing samples below and produce a reusable VOICE PROFILE under 150 words: sentence length, vocabulary, how I open and close, what I never do, and three rules a ghostwriter should follow. Write it as instructions to a writer.

06

Assumption auditor

Before presenting any number.

Do not recompute the arithmetic. List every assumption behind the calculation below, rank them by how much the result depends on them, show how the answer moves if each of the top 3 is 20% off, and name the one to verify first.

07

Difficult message in three registers

Missed deadlines, price changes, declining a request.

Using the facts below, write the same message three times under 100 words each — warm, neutral, firm. All three must contain the same facts, a specific date and one clear next step. No apologies that promise nothing.

08

Meeting prep dossier

Fifteen minutes before any external meeting.

Build a dossier from the notes below: attendees and their likely priorities, our objective, three questions I should ask, and the one outcome that makes this meeting worth holding.

09

Weekly priority setter

Friday afternoon.

Rank my task dump by impact on {{goal}}, flag anything to delete or delegate, then assign exactly one non-negotiable priority per weekday with a realistic time block.

10

SOP from a walkthrough

Any time someone explains a process twice.

Turn the walkthrough below into a numbered SOP: prerequisites, steps with the expected result of each, common failure modes, and who to escalate to.
